Mission Statement

#iVoted increases voter turnout by producing record-breaking events & activating entertainment venues to let fans in who show a selfie from outside their polling place or at home with a blank & unmarked ballot. Young people in the U.S. are more likely to attend live music events (63% millennials) than vote (35.6% for 18-29). #iVoted bridges this gap by meeting potential voters where they are as a data-driven organization that books the top trending artists & talent in states whose electoral margins are often decided by the size of a concert venue. With a majority BIPOC C-Suite of 100% women & overall team that's 92% BIPOC, women, non-binary or LGBTQ+, #iVoted is revolutionizing voter turnout while actively training & mentoring the next generation of leaders.

About

#iVoted is a non-partisan 501(c)3 non-profit founded by entrepreneur Emily White, Mike Luba, and Pat Sansone of Wilco / The Autumn Defense. In 2018 #iVoted activated over 150 venues in 37 states to let fans into venues on November 6th, 2018 (the United States' national election night), who showed a selfie from outside of their polling place. Our mission was and is to increase voter turnout.

In 2020, #iVoted pivoted due to the pandemic and launched the largest digital concert in history, which took place on November 3rd, Election Night. 450+ artists participated at the inaugural #iVoted Festival, all curated per the data of the top trending artists in and from key states. Fans RSVP’d to access the stream with a selfie at home with their blank and unmarked ballot or from outside of their polling place. Underage fans RSVP’d by letting us know what election they will be 18 for and why they’re excited to vote. Non-citizens and ineligible voters RSVP’d to let us know which artist they were most excited to check out.

#iVoted quickly followed up by producing #iVoted Festival Georgia, for the state’s special election in January 2021 that determined control of The United States senate. Similar to the original #iVoted Festival, fans RSVP’d per the above criteria, and artists were booked based on what fans in Georgia were listening to and engaging with at the time.

Our work has been analyzed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, showing #iVoted increases turnout by over 7%. Read that HERE.

We’re now gearing up for 2022 and can’t wait to celebrate voting with you all on November 8th, 2022! #iVoted is a registered public charity. To donate and support our work increasing voter turnout, please visit HERE.
